Troubleshooting

Problem
Motor will not start
Garden waste is not
drawn in
Unit won't shred
properly
Possible cause
No mains power supply
Overload protection trip-
ped
Lid of housing not closed
properly
Shredding material is too
soft
Unit blocked
Shredding material in
discharge duct
Blades are blunt
Remedy
Check the socket, cable, lead and
plug for damage, and if necessary,
have any damage repaired by qualified
repair personnel.
Wait until the motor has cooled down,
then press the Reset button and re-
start the unit
Tightly screw in the housing interlock
Use the pusher or add dry twigs/
branches

Remove shredding material from
discharge duct
Check and turn, sharpen or replace
blades as necessary (see section
„Sharpening, turning, replacing the
blades")
