3.3 Humidity alarm setting

An audible and visual alarm is triggered when the relative humidity exceeds or drops below the programmed desired
value. An alarm window between +/- 1 and 20 % can be set. The factory setting is the value 00 (no alarm).
Example: Humidity 70 %, alarm window +/- 5 % means that an alarm is triggered below 65 % and above 75 %.

3.4 Deactivation/Activation of audible humidity alarm

The audible alarm can be switched "ON" or "OFF". The factory setting is "OFF" as otherwise an alarm could be trig-
gered immediately when the system is fi rst put into service and the sensor is still located outside the terrarium where
the humidity may be either too high or too low.

3.5 Safety cut-out function

The ClimaControl system is equipped with a safety cut-out function for connected sprinkler systems. In the case that
the connected humidifi er does not achieve the programmed humidity within a specifi ed by yourself programmed peri-
od of time, the humidifi er will not be activated any more. This is to prevent potential fl ooding of the terrarium on the
one hand or damage of the humidifi er when its water reserve is missing on the other hand. You can defi ne a period
from 1 to 59 minutes. The factory preset is that the safety cut-out function is deactivated (Minutes 00).
Deactivation is indicated in the display as error E4. If this error is displayed, you should, depending on the size of
the terrarium and the humidity of the substrate, increase the period after which connected devices are deactivated
/ check the position of the humidity sensor / lower the desired value for relative humidity / connect a more powerful
humidifi er.

3.6 Choice of HEAT /COOL mode

A convenient inversion function makes it possible to switch from HEAT to COOL . This permits connection to
an external Cooling device instead of a Heater to counteract an increase in temperature.

3.7 Temperature regulation

The temperature is regulated with a precision of 0.2° C. The temperature can be set within the range 0-60° C. The
factory presets the temperature to 25° C. It is possible to program up to 8 turn-on/turn-off times. The ClimaControl
system has an automatic sorting function which will re-arrange the time periods into the correct sequential order
when exiting program mode.

3.8 Temperature setting alarm

An audible and visual alarm is triggered when the temperature exceeds or drops below the programmed desired
value. An alarm window between +/- 1° and 10° C can be set. The factory setting is the value 00 (no alarm).
Example: Temperature 25° C, alarm window +/- 3° C means that an alarm is triggered below 22° C and above 28° C.

3.9 Deactivation/Activation of the audible temperature alarm

The audible alarm can be switched "ON" or "OFF". The factory setting is "OFF" , as otherwise an alarm could be
triggered immediately when the system is fi rst put into service whilst the sensor is located outside the terrarium,
where the temperature may be either too high or too low.

3.10 Timer control

As an alternative to temperature regulation, the second slot ( ) can be used to control external devices via a timer
switch with a one-second control interval. Either Permanent ON or Automatic Mode is initially selected.

3.11 Programming the switching times

Up to 8 turn-on/turn-off times can be programmed if Automatic Mode is selected. The ClimaControl system has
an automatic sorting function which will re-arrange the time periods into the correct sequential order when exiting
program mode.
Attention: The ClimaControl system can be optionally operated in the humidity control (slot 1) + temperature (slot 2)
combination, or the humidity (slot 1) + timer switch (slot 2) combination. Programming a temperature for slot 2 ( )
will delete the programmed settings for a timer switch on slot 2 ( ) and vice versa.
