Teaching the ATC Display and Transmitter
The ATC Display is switched off.
1.
Disconnect the 13-pin trailer cable on the towing vehicle, wait 5 seconds and
then reconnect it.
2.
The ATC begins a self-test

Then hold the button (Fig. 1-4) down for 30 seconds. All of the LEDs illumi-
nate briefly one after the other (chaser light).
Once only the red or green LED lights up or flashes, the process is
complete and teaching was successful.
4.
Release the button.
Completing the installation of the ATC Transmitter
1.
Pull small shrink hoses over the push-on contacts and shrink them with hot
air from a hair dryer (8).
2.
Then pull the large shrink hose over the two small ones and shrink this one
too (9).
3.
Wipe down the transmitter using the cleaning cloth that comes with the pa-
ckage (10).
4.
Remove the adhesive pads from the backing film and stick them onto the
transmitter (11).
5.
Wipe down the underside of the towbar cover in the area of the transmitter
installation with the cleaning cloth (12).
6.
Pull off the backing film from the adhesive strips and push the LED through
the existing hole in the towbar cover (13).
7.
Press the transmitter firmly onto the towbar cover.
8.
Stick the ATC plate onto the towbar cover (13).
9.
Fit the towbar cover (14).

OPERATION
Switching on the ATC Display
1.
Press the button (Fig. 1-4) until all LEDs illuminate.
All of the LEDs light up simultaneously for 2 seconds. After this, all of the LEDs
stay off for 1 second. The receiver switches itself on. The LEDs now display the
status of the battery as follows:
