ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Turn off water at the supply
valve under the sink or at the
main water supply, disconnect
the supply line, and remove old
faucet.
Clean and dry surface area where
new faucet will be mounted.
IMPORTANT: Complete valve replacement is required for this tub/shower unit.
An access hole must be cut with enough room to install the new tub/shower
valves inside the wall. Professional installation is recommended.
CAUTION: Do not use PEX tubing for pipe from the valve to the tub spout.
2. The dimension for the valve
center line to the finished wall
is 1-7/8" min. to 2-7/8" max.
Recommended dimension is
2-3/8".
1A: Shower and/or spout outlet
hole, 1-1/4" diameter.
1B: Cut or leave a 1-3/8" to 2"
diameter hole (recommended
1-3/4") for the cold water inlet
side (the right side) and for the
hot water inlet side (the left side).
CAUTION: Allow at least 2"
between tub outlet and tub rim
3. The center to center distance
between the cold water inlet
and hot is 8".
4. When attaching threaded fittings,
use pipe tape or pipe thread com-
pound. Thread iron supply pipe
(1) into tailpieces (2). Assemble
tailpieces into valve body (3).
Tighten with a wrench.

Total weight of item: 4.20 lbs.
5. Connect shower and tub
outlet pipes to valve body, not
included, to the ends of both
pipes. Securely fasten to wall
framing or other solid support.
Turn on water supply inlet
valves to check for leaks.
6. Pressure testing:
Install a 1/2" iron pipe plug (1),
not included, on both shower (2)
and tub outlets (3). Turn hot and
cold valve stem to full position,
then turn the diverter stem to the
tub and shower position. Check
all connections for leaks.
NOTE:
To close COLD valve turn clockwise.
To open turn counter-clockwise.
To close HOT valve turn clockwise.
To open turn counter-clockwise.
7. To flush foreign material from the
lines, slowly remove pipe plugs
and turn on hot and cold water
supply lines and allow water to
flow from shower and tub outlets.
8. Insert the long end of the shower
arm (1) through the flange (2)
then apply PTFE pipe tape or
thread sealant to both ends
of shower arm (1). Screw the long
end of the shower arm (1) into the
pipe elbow inside the wall. Slide
the flange (2) tight against the
finished wall surface. Thread the
shower head (3) onto the shower
arm (1).
