Reversing the Guide Bar
1. Remove the guide bar and chain from the
chain saw, following the section: "Replacing
the Bar and Chain".
2. Remove the chain from the guide bar and
turn the guide bar over (Fig. 38). The bottom
of the bar will be on the top.
3. Replace the chain on the bar.
4. Reassemble the guide bar and chain on
the chain saw and adjust the chain tension,
following the section: "Replacing the Bar
and Chain" and "Adjusting the Chain
Tension".
Transportation
1. Switch the saw off and remove the battery pack.
2. Clean the saw.
3. Attach the chain sheath on the guide bar and chain.
4. Always carry the saw by its handle.
5. Protect the saw from any heavy impact or strong vibrations which may occur during
transportation in vehicles.
6. Secure the saw to prevent it from slipping or falling over.
Storage
1. Switch the saw off and remove the battery
pack.
2. Clean the saw.
3. Attach the chain sheath on the guide bar
and chain.
4. Clean the saw and empty the oil tank.
5. Store the saw and its accessories in a dark,
dry, frost-free, well-ventilated place.
6. Always store the product in a place that is
inaccessible to children. The ideal storage is
under room temperature.
7. Keep away from corrosive agents such as
garden chemicals and de-icing salts.
8. Your saw is equipped with a storage rail for hanging the saw. To use it, securely mount the
storage rail on the wall with 2 screws (not supplied) and horizontally leveled. Use screws
sufficiently strong to hold the combined weight of the chain saw and battery pack. Hang
the saw onto the storage rail. (Fig. 39).
Service
We recommend that all tool service be performed by a SKIL Factory Service Center or
Authorized SKIL Service Station.
