CUTTING ATTACHMENT TO SHAFT TUBE INSTALLATION
WARNING
Saw Chain is sharp! Always wear gloves when handling assembly,
otherwise serious personal injury may result.
1.
Follow Guide Bar and Saw Chain Replacement Instruction in your
Operator's Manual to remove guide bar and saw chain from
existing cutting attachment.
2.
Loosen four (4) screws (A) and locator screw (B) and remove
existing cutting attachment from aluminum shaft tube.
NOTE
Do not remove locator screw (B) completely from cutting attach-
ment, otherwise inner lock nut will come off and be lost.
3.
Enlarge locator hole (B) in aluminum shaft tube with a 6 mm drill.
GUIDE BAR AND SAW CHAIN REPLACEMENT
4.
Loosen two (2) 10 mm (13/32 in.) guide bar nuts (C) and remove
sprocket cover.
5.
Install guide bar sliding it onto the cutting attachment as far as
possible.
6.
Turn saw chain adjustment screw until adjusting pin (D) fits into
round hole in guide bar.
7.
Install saw chain onto guide bar. Make sure cutting links are faced
toward the nose of the guide bar.
8.
Engage saw chain with sprocket.
9.
Replace sprocket cover and guide bar nuts.
