• If the red polarity light is on, disconnect the clamps and verify the correct positive and
negative connections. Reconnect as directed above.
• If no lights—Smart Polarity, or voltage—are on, it may be that the system battery being
jump started is shorted, missing or dead. Verify the Rescue power pack voltage is above
11.5. If the power pack voltage is above 11.5 (23 in 24V position) and the unit has no lights
and does not turn on, disconnect the power pack and troubleshoot the disabled system.
• The Rescue 2000 and 2600 are not designed to be used as standalone vehicle batteries.
They will not function unless they are properly connected to a system with a battery in good
condition with a charge over 5V (10V on 24).
Use your Rescue pack safely
• Do not use the portable power pack if any cable clamp or cord is
damaged.
• Do not short circuit the unit. Don't touch the clamps to any conductive
material.
• Always wrap the cables back into position and store the clamps properly.
• If your Rescue portable power pack requires service, follow the directions
in the warranty section. Do not attempt to repair the unit or replace parts.
Unauthorized repairs will void your warranty.
• Check vehicle battery terminals before using the power pack; clean them
if necessary.
• After approximately 10 seconds of continuous cranking, if the disabled
vehicle fails to start, stop and wait for 1 minute. This prevents damage to
your power pack and to your vehicle's system from overheating.
• No lubrication is recommended or required.
• Avoid storing in direct sunlight, in extreme heat or cold, or very moist
areas.
