Installing devices
Installing 3.5" devices
To install 3.5" devices:
1 Set any required jumpers on the device. See the device
documentation for instructions.
2 Align one 3.5" drive rail with the mounting holes on one side of
the device, then press on the rail to snap it in place.

3 Attach a 3.5" drive rail to the other side of the device.
4 Carefully slide the device into the bay until you hear a click.
5 Attach any required cables to the device. See the device
documentation for instructions.
Installing a 5.25" device
To install 5.25" device:
1 Set any required jumpers on the device. See the device
documentation for instructions.
2 Align one 5.25" drive rail with the screws holes on one side of the
device (usually the upper screw holes), then press on the rail to
snap it in place.

3 Attach a 5.25" drive rail to the other side of the device.
4 Carefully slide the 5.25" device into the drive bay until you hear a
click.
5 Attach any required cables to the device. See the device
documentation for instructions.
Installing a hard drive in the upper drive
cage
To install a hard drive in the upper drive cage:
1 Set any required jumpers on the device. See the device
documentation for instructions.
2 Carefully slide the hard drive into the appropriate bay in the upper
drive cage.
3 Secure the hard drive to the bay with two screws from the
accessory package.

4 Attach any required cables to the device. See the device
documentation for instructions.
Installing hard drives in the lower drive
cage
To install hard drives in the lower drive cage:
1 Set any required jumpers on the device. See the device
documentation for instructions.
2 Remove the screw or thumbscrew that secures the hard drive cage
to the chassis. The screw is located next to the hard drive release
latch.
3 Gently pull down on the drive cage release latch, then pull the
drive cage out of the chassis.
4 Install the hard drives into the drive cage.
