SAFETY INFORMATION
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when the battery is inserted. Remove the
battery when the fan is not in use and before servicing.
• Keep the appliance and its handle dry, clean and free from oil and grease. Always
use a clean cloth when cleaning. Never use brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based
products, or any strong solvents to clean your fan. Following this rule will reduce the
risk of loss of control and deterioration of the enclosure plastic.
• Batteries can explode in the presence of a source of ignition, such as a pilot light.
To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, never use any cordless product in the
presence of open flame. An exploded battery can propel debris and chemicals. If
exposed, flush with water immediately.
• Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct others who may
use this tool. If you loan this tool to someone else, also loan these instructions to them to
prevent misuse of the product and possible injury.
Extension Cords
• Double insulated tools can use either a two or three wire extension cord. As the distance
from the supply outlet increases, you must use a heavier gauge extension cord. Using
extension cords with inadequately sized wire causes a serious drop in voltage, resulting
in loss of power and possible tool damage. Be sure to use an extension cord that has the
capacity to handle the current the product will draw. Refer to the table shown to determine
the required minimum wire size.
• This product should be connected to a power supply that is 120~240 volts, AC only (normal
household current). Do not operate this product on direct current (DC) through the power
cord.
• If you are using an extension cord outdoors, be sure it is marked with the suffix "W-A" ("W"
in Canada) to indicate that it is acceptable for outdoor use.
• Be sure your extension cord is properly wired and in good electrical condition. Always
replace a damaged extension cord or have it repaired by a qualified person before using it.
• Protect your extension cords from sharp objects, excessive heat and damp or wet areas.
• Unplug all cords during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
