Description
The magnetic contact and the magnet must be mounted facing
each other in a window frame/door leaf and window
surround/door surround.
Caution:
The EN grade 3 flush-mounted magnetic contact DC138
was specially developed for installation in ferromagnetic
materials.
When installing the snap-on metal flange mounting EF 8/20, a
material strength of 0.5 - 2.3 mm is permissible.
When mounting is complete, the magnetic contact's electrical
switching function must be checked (e.g. using a continuity tester
or multimeter).
The application of mechanical force, e.g., when mounting the
device on the casing may damage the glass body of the reed
switch.
Installation
Snap-on metal installation flange EF 8/20 on the contact and
magnet housing (see Figure 2).
Caution:
Measure the supply lines electrically before connecting
them!

The goal of the EC directive on waste electrical and
electronic equipment is to minimize the
environmental and health impact of such
equipment. In accordance with this directive,
electrical devices bearing this symbol must not be
disposed of in the European public waste disposal
systems. European users of electrical devices must
now return all waste electrical and electronic
equipment for recycling. For more information,
