The hose N is demounted at the self-
cleaning filter, the restrictor is put in the
hose and the hose is mounted again.
In case there should be problems with
low pressure, it might be due to too
large restrictor or the fact that no restric-
tor has been fitted.
Filter size
A filter screen of mesh 0.18 mm (80 mesh) is standard on the self-
cleaning filter. This applies to sprayings with nozzles up to
No. 4110-14 - 1553-12.
When even smaller nozzles are requested for sprayings filter screens of
mesh 0.15 mm (100 mesh), order no. 635677, can be delivered as
optional extra.
The chemical manufacturers recommend for certain chemicals the use
of not too fine filters. For these spray tasks a filter screen of mesh
0.30 mm (50 mesh), order no. 635681 can be delivered.
Maintenance
No other maintenance than frequent cleaning is needed for the self-
cleaning filter. When the sprayer is cleaned, the hose N at the bottom of
the filter is demounted and the filter flushed with clean water. At the
same time the restrictor is checked. Furthermore the hose K at the
safety valve is demounted so that it can be flushed. Simultaneously the
safety valve is rinsed clean from chemical sediments.
When the sprayer is prepared for winter storage, the filter housing is
taken apart, the filter checked, cleaned and maybe replaced. It is
advisable to replace all three "O" ring packings of the filter, when it has
been taken apart. (See the spare parts drawing page 30).
