Always perform an autotest before and after using your detector.
Do not use the instrument if the autotest proves incorrect.
The autotest can be used to check that the detector is operating correctly overall
: from the test probes to the LEDs (except phase rotation LED) via the lead, the electronics,
the buzzer and the batteries.
Implementation:
Connect the leads.
Touch red test probe with black test probe.
Press the autotest button.
Result:
All the voltage detection LED must light up and the buzzer must sound:
the autotest is OK.
If the autotest is incorrect, change the batteries or carry out repairs.
Voltage detection AC/DC, Polarity
Always perform an autotest before and after using the detector.
Never use the detector if the autotest is incorrect.
■ Place the two test probes on the circuit to be tested.
■ The presence of a voltage on the circuit triggers automatic activation of the
voltage detection LEDs and the buzzer is sounded if the voltage is greater than 50V.
■ The rated voltage level of the circuit is indicated by the last LED lit (12V,
24V, 50V, 127V, 230V, 400V or 690V).
If none of the LEDs comes on, no voltage or voltage < 10V.
■ The two LEDs (+ and –) come on for an AC voltage.
■ A single LED (+ or –) comes on for
Characteristics and range for use:
· Voltage detection: 12V < U < 690V between phases (600V in relation to earth)
· Frequency: DC, 50...60Hz ±5%
· High impedance does not switch the differential circuit breaker 30mA.
· Max. peak current at 690V : Is < 3.5mA.
· Response time: instantaneous
Phase/Neutral identifi cation
Always perform an autotest before and after using the detector.
Never use the detector if the autotest is incorrect.
«One-handed» unipolar test:
■ Place one of the test probes on the conductor to be tested and one fi nger
on the Ph/N identifi cation touch area.
■ For the phase, the red "PH" LED (690V) fl ashes and the buzzer sounds
in short bursts.
Characteristics and range for use:
· Detection: U > 127V AC
· Frequency: 50...60Hz ±5%
Always perform an autotest before and afterusing the detector.
Never use the detector if the autotest is incorrect.
Before performing a continuity test, make sure that the power supply to the
circuit to be tested has been switched off.
■ Place the two test probes on the circuit to be tested. If one LED at least
comes on, stop the test: the circuit is live.
■ Press the continuity test button.
■ The green LEDs, the 50V LED, the orange LED light up and the buzzer
sounds continuously: there is continuity.
Accidental presence of a voltage on the circuit to be tested.
■ If the instrument detects the presence of a voltage, the buzzer sounds
continuouslyand when voltage is greater than 50V AC, the 127V LED lights up.
