INFRARED BEAM PHOTOCELL SUNSET BUS
Description
The photoelectric barrier SUNSET BUS has been projected for the control units SEA which are equiped with
BUS system. Said system allows to simplify the installation, as all photocells are connected in parallel among
them with only 2 cables, which then will be connected on the BUS connector on the control unit.
The Photocell Kit Consists of:
1 No. Photocell Receiver
1 No. Photocell Transmitter
1 No. Fixing Kit
2 No. cover-screw cap
1 No. Set of fitting instructions
Technical Characteristics
Range:
15 m (exterior use)
Signal:
Modulated infrared
Absorbed Current: 30mA TX; 30mA RX
Temp.
Humidity:
from 5% to 90% no condensation
Protection class:
IP 55
INSTALLATION
Transmitter
- Insert the cables into the special seat and connect them to the
connector CN1
- Arrange the cables so that to eliminate the exceeding.
- Set the Trimmer TR1 on the value corresponding to the function that
you want to assign to the photocell (see Tab.1).
- Fix the transmitter.
- Seal the sheathing and the eventual holes through which foreign bodies
could enter inside the box.
Receiver
- Bring the two cables of the TX on the connector CN1 of the receiver as
shown in Fig.1.
- Arrange the cables so that to eliminate the exceeding.
- Fix the receiver, having care to fix it in frontal position, lined up on the
same axle and at the same height of the corresponding transmitter. Set
on the TR1 of the RX the same value as set on the TR1 of the
corresponding TX.
Seal the sheathing and the eventual holes through which foreign bodies
could enter inside the box.
- Verify the alignment. If the positioning, the alignment and the
connection of the photocell have been correctly made, the red LED on
the receiver will be turend on.
Initialization BUS
Connect all the photocells in parallel on the clamp M15 or in parallel
between them. At the lighting of the control unit make sure that the
LED18 (red) performs some fast flashes, at this point, if the red led
remains turned on this means that there is an error on the BUS, signalled
from the display or by 8 flashes on the warning lamp, but if the red led will
keep on flashing slowly the BUS is perfectly working.
Note: To repeat the search of the peripheral BUS in case of BUS
error, press contemporarily the buttons + and - of the display,
press the button until led 20 turns on . At this point keep pressed
SET as long as led 20 does not turn off and led 19 turns on.

Addressing photocell BUS
TX and RX on 0 or 1 = photocell in opening
TX and RX on 2 or 3 = photocell in closing
TX and RX from 4 to 9= photocell in opening and closing
Note: Two pairs of photocells with the same function have
to have a different number. For example, on two used pairs
of photocells in closing, the TX and RX of the first one will
have the number 2, and the TX and RX of the second pair
will have the number 3.
