operations.
C The side D-rings are for work restraint purposes like work
in towers and other constructions.
How to use the SKALT Expert belt:
For proper use of this belt a training is required.
In general the belt can be used for 3 purposes:
- Fall protection
- Rope acces / Rescue
- Work positioning / Restraint work
For fall protection always use the d-ring at the back or
at the front-chest.
In general the back d-ring is meant for:
- Lanyards with integrated shockabsorber
- Fall arrest blocks
The front d-ring is meant for:
- Grab or trolley of a climbing system
- Rope grabs
For rope access and rescue always use the middle D-ring
at the seat belt. At this d-ring the following devices can
be installed:
- Rope access device
- Resue device
- Work positioning or restraint lanyard
Be aware that none of these systems are fall protection
systems and when using these systems there simultaneously
fall protection needs to be installed at the front or chest
d-ring of the SKALT Expert belt.
For work positioning or restraint work the two D-rings on the
side of the waistbelt or the middle D-ring at the seatbelt can
be used. Restraint work can be done without fall protection,
but make sure that there is no chance to fall at all.
Workpositioning is always executed in combination
with fall protection.
