Temperature indicator
To help you set your appliance correctly, the refrigerator is equipped
•
with a temperature indicator (located in the coldest area and marked
with the pictogram opposite).
For the proper storage of food items in your refrigerator, especially in the coldest area,
•
make sure that the "OK" temperature indicator appears on the tab.
If "OK" does not appear, the average temperature of the area is too high. Set the
•
thermostat to a higher position.
Whenever you adjust the thermostat, wait for the temperature inside the appliance
•
to stabilise before adjusting it again, if necessary. Only change the position of the
thermostat gradually and wait at least 12 hours before checking again and possibly
changing it.
After the appliance has been loaded with fresh food or after repeated (or a prolonged)
•
opening of the door, it is normal for the "OK" temperature indicator not to appear; wait
at least 12 hours before deciding whether or not to adjust the temperature.
If the evaporator in the refrigerator compartment (back wall of the appliance)
•
becomes abnormally frost-covered (appliance overloaded, high room temperature,
high thermostat setting, frequent door openings), gradually turn the thermostat knob
back to a lower position until the compressor stops running periodically again. The
refrigerator compartment will only automatically defrost if the compressor stops
intermittently.
Storage Tips
In a refrigerator, the temperature is not uniform (with the exception of ventilated or
•
stirred cold appliances), which is why there are appropriate areas for each type of
food. Refer to the following instructions for storing food.
