Description
The output module for motor control is used, via two relay outputs, to actuate radio controls
coming from:
• remote controls,
• button pads,
• conventional inputs modules.

The motor control module is provided with a three-colored (yellow/red/green) multifunction LED
(A) to show the operating mode and a pair of buttons on the front (B) for local control of the
output relays. A button (C) is used to enable the AUTO function, which is signaled by the lighting
up of a green LED (D).
The AUTO function enables management of the module by automatic control devices (sensors,
timers, etc.) connected to conventional input modules (configured in STATUS mode). The wire
entry is used to connect the potential-free contacts of 2 traditional N.A. buttons or a double arrow.
The modules are powered at 230V. The module's output contacts are live. A rotary switch is
used to select the configuration mode and the operating time of the device.
When the motor control module is powered up, the outputs to terminals 3 and 4 are not
powered. After a power cut the AUTO function returns to the status that was enabled before the
interruption.
Configuration
Learn configuration
All that is required to associate a motor control module to one or more devices is to turn
the switch to position 0: the multifunction LED becomes fixed red.
At this point the device that it is intended to combine must be set up according to the
description in the relative instruction sheet, so as to generate the required control
message: the multifunction LED will go out for about 5 seconds and then light up again
L
(red) awaiting a possible further combination.
A maximum of up to 16 control channels can be associated to each module.
Should the maximum possible number of associations be reached, the LED becomes
blinking red; in this case it is not possible to make any further associations.
Cancel configuration
Turn the switch to position 9 to cancel all the combinations made: the multifunction LED
becomes blinking yellow to show that the operation is in progress.
The fixed yellow LED shows that the operation has been completed.
Operation
The module controls the two output relays depending on the radio control received.
In general, the output contact at terminal 3 of the module is closed on receipt of an
"up/forward" command (ON3) and the output contact at terminal 4 is closed on receipt of
a "down/back" command (ON4). A stop command (OFF) causes both output contacts to
open (terminals 3 and 4).

A maximum time limit is provided after closing a contact after which the module performs
a stop command. The timed value is determined by the rotary switch.
The module is typically used to control the motor of a sun blind or a roller blind:
• in combination with an RF button pad, for example, the blind is raised by pressing the
upper part of the key of the channel associated to the module and lowered by pressing
the lower part. It is stopped by pressing either the upper or lower part of the key when
the blind is in motion.

In the same way the same operation is obtained by combining the module with a channel
of a remote control or with a conventional inputs module, in combined inputs mode,
connected to an interlocked double button.
Other operating modes are provided:
• in combination with a conventional inputs module, configured in status mode,
connected to a twilight sensor, the roller blind is raised and lowered at the intervention
of the sensor. This automatic operating mode must be explicitly enabled using the
module's AUTO button. The green LED is lit when the function is enabled;
• in combination with a conventional inputs module, configured in ON or OFF mode, will
give, respectively, the "on/forward" or "down/back" command when the contact is
closed. The stop command is given when the time set in the module elapses.

Learn configuration
Device waiting to learn a command: the LED becomes fixed red.
Max. number of combinations reached: the LED becomes blinking red.
Cancel configuration
Combination cancellation in progress: the LED becomes blinking yellow.
Cancellation complete: the LED becomes fixed yellow.
Regular functioning
Charge powered up (at least one output contact closed): the LED becomes fixed green.
AUTO LED
Automatic operation enabled: LED on.
Installation
The output modules have inset installation, using the special System series supports. The
protection level can be maintained, even for installations other than inset (e.g. in junction
boxes) by using the terminal cover.
