INSTALLATION
Mounting - This fixture is designed for wall or post
mounting and requires a flat vertical surface approximately
3" wide and 5" high. Four 3/8" diameter bolts are required
for mounting. For the most efficient operation, mount the
fixture so that the fixture head can be placed in the top
corner of the lowest trailer expected to use the loading
location. It should be mounted as close to the door
opening edge as practical. For maximum safety, mount the
fixture 6' 8" from the floor. Fixture should be mounted so
that the junction box will not be exposed to the elements.
Wiring - The fixture is internally wired with a 3-wire system.
All wiring should be in accordance with your local codes.
Connection to local power should be made utilizing the
cordset provided, and plugged into a properly grounded
receptacle. NOTE: Be sure the receptacle is located so that
the cord remains above the dock light arm.
An optional arm mounted junction box is available (see
Figure 1) for applications where electrical connection at the
dock light arm is desired. Connect the black fixture wire to
the black (hot) incoming lead. Connect the white fixture
wire to the white (neutral) incoming lead.

This work should be done by a qualified electrician.
LAMP INSTALLATION
NOTE: Disconnect power before installing or removing
lamps. Insert lamp into socket by holding it with cloth or
clean cotton gloves. Before inserting lamp, check sockets
for freeness. Make sure both contacts are making positive
contact with socket center contacts.
CAUTION: If quartz bulb is handled with fingers, wash it
with alcohol and dry with clean, soft cloth before operation.
This is necessary to assure efficient and long lamp life.

HORIZONTAL WHEN ENERGIZED.

our equipment, you may return it to us for repair, replacement, or credit at our discretion. A
returned goods number will be issued at the time you contact us. This number is necessary
to assure that you get proper credit for your return. Shipping costs for returns are at the
expense of the customer unless otherwise negotiated.
We want satisfied Customers and will make every effort to satisfy our customers.
IN CASE OF PRODUCT FAILURE:
It shall be the obligation of the owner to furnish to the company the following information:
1. Model Number and date of manufacture of product involved.
2. Complete description of the problem encountered with product.
SELLER'S LIABILITY
Seller will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost of repair, incidental or consequential
damages of any kind, whether based on warranty, contract or negligence, and arising in
connection with the sale, use or repair of the Products. Seller's maximum liability shall not in
any case exceed the contract price for the Products claimed to be defective or unsuitable.

OPTIONAL JUNCTION BOX WIRING
NOTE: If wiring to an arm mounted junction box is preferred, the free
length cordset may be cut approximately 3" from the entrance to the
arm, and a narrow handee box and cover should be ordered from
Fostoria (Part No. 3121000 - box, Part No. 3121100 - cover). Hole
locations for mounting the box are determined by the mounting holes in
the box, and the knockout in the box that clears the cord bushing on the
arm. Drill two 0.144 diameter holes for mounting the box. Mount box to
arm with two #8 x 3/8" long sheet metal screws.
NOTE: A separate #10 grounding screw must be used for
grounding. DO NOT use the mounting screws for grounding. Drill a
clearance hole into the dock light arm at the ground location shown in
the box and insert grounding screw.

Equipment may be accepted for return with in 90 days of shipment, when
authorized by us with our return labels. Request necessary permission and
special Return Authorization Tags.
unused condition, and in factory sealed cartons, may normally be returned for
full credit less 25% (minimum charge $20.00) charge for handling, repacking
and restocking, and less transportation charges both ways, at net prices
prevailing at time of purchase or time of return, whichever is lower. Fostoria
Industries, Inc., however, reserves the right to refuse any return, at our
discretion, if Fostoria Industries, Inc., is not responsible for error. All special,
custom made or equipment with special finishes, and modified versions of
cataloged numbers are not returnable. All returned merchandise is subject to
inspection. Unsalvageable and damaged merchandise will be credited at
salvage value or less costs of repairs.
DAMAGED GOODS
Minimum charge on replacement will be waived if order is accompanied by
copy of proof of claim submitted to carrier. No repair, replacement or other
adjustment by the customer is authorized by us, unless so stated in writing by
our Sales Service department.
