The operating time for periodic extraction is adjusted by pressing the + and - buttons. 1 on the
display means that the hood will run for 5 minutes, 2 means that it will run for 10 minutes, etc.
Pressing the periodic extraction button while the function is active turns periodic extraction off.
The function is still ACTIVE, even when the remote control is turned off.

BEFORE USE

The remote control uses 3 X AAA batteries. When using the remote control for the first time,
the accompanying batteries must first be inserted:
• Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the remote control by unscrewing the small
screw.
• Insert the batteries in the remote control. Make sure the batteries are inserted the right
way round.
• Replace the battery cover on the remote control.
• The remote control is now ready for use.

COUPLING UP THE REMOTE CONTROL TO THE HOOD

As a radio frequency system is used between the remote control and the hood, the two units
must be coupled up to each other. The manufacturer has already coupled the hood up to the re-
mote control when you receive it. The connection between the two units can however be lost,
and must subsequently be coupled back together again.
This is done in the following steps:
• Switch off the mains power to the hood (it is not enough for the light and extraction on the
hood are turned off). The power can be disconnected from the switch located on the print
box for the hood. The power must be disconnected for at least 30 seconds, to ensure that
the electronics are reset.
• Ensure that the remote control is ready for use and the batteries are correctly inserted.
Check that the remote control can be activated.
• Reconnect the power to the hood. If the power has been connected for long enough, you
will hear a 'beep' from the hood.
• Turn on the remote control by activating one of the functions and using the + or - button to
adjust the function. This must be done within 8 seconds of the power being reconnected to
the hood.
• If coupling is done correctly, the remote control will start to control the hood's functions.
• If the coupling fails, start the process again.
