Speedaire
Description
Speedaire battery tray is designed for use with Speedaire models 5F564, 4LW38,
and 13H30 stationary gasoline engine air compressors with an electric starter. The
battery box and tray provide convenient storage of a 12V DC battery (not includ-
ed) required for the electric starter.

Unpacking
After unpacking the unit, inspect care-
fully for any damage that may have
occurred during transit. Make sure to
tighten fittings, bolts, etc., before
putting unit into service.
Do not operate
unit if damaged
during shipping, handling or use.

GENERAL SAFETY
Since the air compressor and other
components (material pump, spray
guns, filters, lubricators, hoses, etc.)
make up a high pressure pumping sys-
tem, the following safety precautions
must be observed at all times:
Do not expose battery to
sparks or flames as an explo-
sion or fire could result.
Battery acid is corrosive.
Avoid spilling on skin or
clothing. Personal and/or property dam-
age could occur.

with this product carefully.
Be thoroughly familiar
with the controls and the
proper use of the equipment.
2. Only persons well acquainted with
these rules of safe operation should
be allowed to install and use the
unit.

3. Keep visitors away and NEVER allow

use hearing protection
when operating the unit.
5. Do not stand on or use the
unit as a handhold.
6. Check and maintain electrolyte level
of battery in accordance with manu-
facturer's guidelines.
7. Check all fasteners at frequent inter-
vals for proper tightness.
Installation
Release all pressure from the
system before attempting to
install, service, relocate or perform any
maintenance.
1. Install battery tray onto the base-
plate of the compressor using provid-
ed hardware (See Figure 1).
