Maintenance and Servicing
When maintaining these units and in situations where personnel
could be hurt by moving parts or by live electrical parts, the AIR-
CENTER must be isolated by totally disconnecting the electrical supply.
It is imperative that the unit can not be re-started during the maintenance
operation.
Do not work on a component that is at its normal operating temperature
as there is a danger from hot parts.
For maintenance of the individual components see corresponding operating
instructions:
VTA ➝ BE 250, KTA ➝ BE 450, SAP ➝ BE 545
For lubrication, checking and changing blades, the side panel (T

doors (T) must be opened (see picture
The internal filters of VTA and KTA should be changed together
with the blades.

The suction filter (ZAF) should be cleaned every 250 operating hours and
the filter cartridge (Rietschle Nr. 730515, KBA Nr.: P 083 9990) changed
every 3000 operating hours. Changing the filter: unscrew wing nut (m

The filter cartridge (Rietschle Nr. 731323, KBA Nr.: P 098 8080) of the
vacuum tight suction filter (ZVF 40) must be cleaned regularly, again depend-
ing upon the amount of contamination.
The filter cartridge (Rietschle Nr. 730517, KBA Nr.: P 040 3860 • M&H Nr.
C 15 124/1, KBA Nr.: P 052 2480) of the vacuum tight suction filter (ZVF 65)
must be cleaned at least every 60 operating hours and changed after 3000
operating hours.
The cartridge (f

3. Cooling (picture

The space between the air slots of the AIR-CENTER may become blocked by dust. They must be checked and cleaned reguarly, by blowing
out the slots of cooling air entry (E) and cooling air exit (F) with compressed air.

Appendix:
Repair on Site: For all repairs on site an electrician must disconnect the motor so that an accidental start of the unit cannot happen.
All engineers are recommended to consult the original manufacturer or one of the subsidiaries, agents or service agents. The address of the nearest
repair workshop can be obtained from the manufacturer on application.
After a repair or before re-installation follow the instructions as shown under the headings "Installation and Initial Operation".
Lifting and Transport: To lift and transport the AIR-CENTER the eye bolt on the box must be used. Transportation by fork lift or two hydraulic hand
lift is possible. The weight of the AIR-CENTER is shown in the accompanying table.
All doors must be closed during transportation.
Storage: The AIR-CENTER must be stored in dry ambient conditions with normal humidity. We recommend for a relative humidity of over 80%,
that the appropriate drying agents are put in and it is made airtight.
Disposal: The wearing parts (as listed in the spare parts lists) should be disposed of with
due regard to health and safety regulations.
