SITE SELECTION
Since most people like to watch birds that a feeding station attracts, you probably will want to select a site that is easily
visible from inside your home. To facilitate this, we have included all the necessary hardware to either pole mount or hang your
new SUPERFEEDER.
Pole mounting can act as a deterrent to squirrels because you can mount your SUPERFEEDER away from areas that a
squirrel can jump to your feeder from, such as trees or roof overhangs. If you choose to pole mount your feeder, select an
area with firm soil conditions, so that the feeder will remain upright throughout its use.
POLE MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
Your SUPERFEEDER comes complete with a 4-section 1-1/4" aluminum pole.
We strongly recommend that you completely bury one section of the pole, and
mount the remaining three on top of the buried section. The pole section should
be buried with the swedged end down. Be sure to dig a hole approximately 17"
deep to bury the pole. DO NOT POUND THE POLE INTO THE GROUND. Tamp the
soil tightly around the buried section. Mount the remaining pole sections onto the buried
section.
The Pole Mounting Adaptor has one end that terminates with a 3/4" diameter stub.
The adaptor should be mounted onto the pole with this stub facing up. You are now ready to
mount the SUPERFEEDER to the Pole Mounting Adaptor. Make sure that the adaptor collar
(widest part of the adaptor) is touching the pole to its bottom, and the feeder to its top.
The fit between the adaptor and the feeder base are purposely snug, so to remove
the feeder from the pole for filling, it may be easiest to remove the top pole section from
the bottom three, with the feeder attached. Remove the feeder from the adaptor, so that it can
be placed on the ground, or a table, in an upright, stable position for filling.

TO USE AS A HANGING FEEDER
Find a good sturdy branch, or bracket capable of holding at least 20 pounds
(weight of filled feeder).
The Baffle Hanging Adaptor should now be assembled onto the S-Hook. Note
that the "loops" of the S-Hook are different diameters. The Baffle Hanging Adaptor
should be inserted onto the S-Hook so that the slot on the adaptor fits over the
dimple of the S-Hook. The wider diameter end of the S-Hook should now be inserted
through the hole in the Squirrel Baffle/Top from the underside of the baffle. When fin-
ished, the wide diameter loop of the S-Hook will protrude through the top of the baffle,
so that you can hang the baffle at your selected location.
Once you have filled the feeder with seed, hang the SUPERFEEDER under the
baffle by inserting the narrow loop of the S-Hook into the eye hook and the top of
the feeder. (See Filling Below)
FILLING THE SUPERFEEDER
To fill your SUPERFEEDER, remove the feeder from the pole or hanging position and place it in an upright position. To remove
the squirrel baffle/top, locate the two tabs on the bottom of the baffle and pull outward. This will allow the baffle to be removed and
give access to the feeder cover (with hole) beneath the baffle. The feeder cover rotates to expose the openings into the tops of the
feeder tubes. Note that the feeder cover does not rotate 360 degrees. Do not force the cover to rotate. If you cannot rotate it in one
direction, you have reached a built-in stop. To gain access to the other tube openings, rotate the feeder cover in the opposite direction.
The cover has built-in stops so that it will temporarily lock into place when the feeder cover hole is directly over a feeder tube.
Do not use mixed or sunflower seed if you install the 3 thistle seed perches into one of the tubes, as the birds will not be
able to get the seed out through the smaller openings. Do not use thistle seed in a tube without the thistle perches in place or the
seed could run out of the larger holes.
CLEANING
Your SUPERFEEDER has been assembled at our factory with the use of special fixturing. We therefore highly recommend
that you DO NOT DISASSEMBLE YOUR SUPERFEEDER. Re-assembly without the aid of this fixturing can be difficult.
Cleaning can be easily accomplished by aligning the feeder cover hole over a tube, inserting a garden hose into the opening
and rinsing the tube clean.

nuevo SUPERFEEDER en un poste o ser colgado.
Montado en un poste, actúa como un impeditivo para ardillas porque así puede montar su SUPERFEEDER en lugares lejanos de donde
ardillas pueden saltar a su alimentador ya sea desde árboles o el techo de su casa. Si Ud. elige montar su alimentador en el poste, seleccione
un lugar donde las condiciones de la tierra son firmes así su alimentador se mantendrá en posición vertical durante todo el tiemp de uso.

Para llenar su SUPERFEEDER, retire el comedero del poste o de la posición colgante y ubíquelo en una posición vertical. Para remover el
deflector/la tapa de ardillas, localice las dos lengüetas que se encuentran en la base del deflector y tire hacia afuera. Esto le permitirá retirar el
deflector y le dará acceso a la cubierta del comedero (con agujero) debajo del deflector. La cubierta del comedero gira para exponer las aberturas en
la parte superior de los tubos del comedero. Nótese que la cubierta del comedero no rota 360 grados. No fuerce la cubierta para rotarla. Si usted no
la puede rotar en una dirección, ha alcanzado un tope de giro. Para acceder a las otras aberturas del tubo, rote la cubierta del comedero en la
dirección opuesta. La cubierta tiene topes de giro para que se trabe temporalmente en el lugar cuando el agujero de la cubierta del comedero está
directamente sobre un tubo del comedero.
PARA SEMILLA DE CARDO
No use semillas de girasol o semillas mezcladas si usted instala los 3 posaderos de semillas de cardo en uno de los tubos, ya que las aves
no podrán acceder a las semillas a través de los agujeros más pequeños. No use semillas de cardo en un tubo sin los posaderos de cardo ubicados
en su lugar ya que las semillas pueden escaparse por los agujeros más grandes.
Su SUPERFEEDER ha sido ensamblado en la fábrica con el uso de un artefacto especial. En consecuencia le recomendamos firmemente
QUE NO DESARME SU SUPERFEEDER. Amarlo sin la ayuda de este artefacto es muy difícil.
Se puede limpiar fácilmente alineando el agujero de la cubierta del comedero con uno de los tubos e insertando una manguera de
jardín en la abertura para enjuagarlo.
SELECCIONAR LA UBICACION
Su SUPERFEEDER viene completo con 4 secciones del poste de aluminio de 1.25"
(3.18 cm). Nosotros le recomendamos firmemente que entierre una sección del poste completamente
y monte las tres secciones restantes sobre la sección enterrada. La sección del poste debe ser
enterrada con la punta angosta hacia abajo. Asegúrese de hacer un agujero de
aproximadamente 17" [43.18 cm] de profundidad para enterrar el poste. NO GOLPEE EL POSTE
EN LA TIERRA. Pise la tierra firmemente alrededor de la sección del poste enterrado. Monte las secciones
restantes en la sección enterrada.
El Adaptor de Montar el Poste tiene un extremo que termina con una dimension de 0.75" (1.91cm)
de diámetro. El adaptador debe montarse en el poste con este extremo hacia arriba. Ud. ahora esta listo
para montar el SUPERFEEDER en el Adaptor de Montar el Poste. Asegúrese que el collar del adaptador
(la parte más ancha del adaptador) está tocando la base del poste y el alimentador en su parte superior.
El encaje entre el adaptador y la base del alimentador es a propósito ajustada, así que para remover
el alimentador del poste para ser llenado, será más fácil remover la sección superior del poste de las tres
de más abajo, con el alimentador unido. Remueva el alimentador del adaptador, para poder ponerlo en el
suelo, o en una mesa en una posición estable y vertical para llenarlo.

Encuentre una rama firme, o una escuadra capaz de sostener por lo menos 20 libras (9.09 klgrs.)
