Avvertenze generali
• L'apparecchio è costruito a regola d'arte, e la sua durata elettrica sarà più efficiente se esso verrà usato correttamente.
• Leggere attentamente le avvertenze che seguono in quanto forniscono importanti indicazioni riguardanti la sicurezza di
installazione d'uso e di manutenzione.
• Dopo aver tolto l'imballaggio assicurarsi dell'integrità dell'apparecchio. In caso di dubbio non utilizzare l'apparecchio e
rivolgersi al proprio rivenditore.
• Gli elementi dell'imballaggio (sacchetti in plastica, ecc.) non devono essere lasciati alla portata dei bambini in quanto
potenziali fonti di pericolo.
• Prima di collegare l'apparecchio accertarsi che i dati di targa siano rispondenti a quelli della rete di distribuzione elettrica
alla quale l'apparecchio sarà collegato. (L'etichetta con i dati di targa è situata sul coperchio dell'apparecchio stesso).
• Questo apparecchio dovrà essere destinato solo all'uso per il quale è stato espressamente concepito e cioè per
l'illuminazione di ambienti chiusi e non umidi, con temperatura ambiente max. 35°C (95°F).
• Prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione di pulizia o di manutenzione, disinserire l'apparecchio dalla rete di alimentazione
elettrica spegnendo l'interruttore dell'impianto, e in caso di guasto rivolgersi solamente a personale professionalmente
qualificato.
• Il mancato rispetto di quanto sopra può compromettere la sicurezza dell'apparecchio.
Il costruttore non può essere considerato responsabile per eventuali danni derivanti da usi impropri, erronei ed irragionevoli.
Istruzioni per l'installazione
1. Appoggiare l'apparecchio privo di imballo a terra o su un tavolo o altro piano di appoggio.
2. Afferrare una delle due testate superiori [F] poste all'estremità dell'apparecchio e sollevarla per estrarla dalla sua sede (per
riferimento vedi fig. 1); procedere allo stesso modo con la seconda testata. Nella versione CS rimuovere anche lo schermo
diffusore [S] (per riferimento vedi fig. 1a).
3. Togliere il coperchio [B] dalla base [A].
4. Rilevare l'interasse dei fori di fissaggio [C] dalla tabella relativa e segnare sulla superficie, dove dovrà essere fissato
l'apparecchio, tale interasse.
5. Prima di fissare saldamente l'apparecchio, introdurre il cavo di alimentazione attraverso il foro centrale [D] (per i modelli
1x18W con reattore elettronico perforare una testata di chiusura [E] come indicato in fig. 2 e introdurre il cavo dal foro così
creato).
6. Una volta fissato saldamente l'apparecchio con viti o tasselli (non in dotazione) procedere al collegamento elettrico dello
stesso come indicato in fig. 3.
7. Prima di richiudere il coperchio [B] sulla base [A], assicurarsi che il terminale faston di messa a terra [T] posto sulla base
[A], sia collegato elettricamente mediante il cavetto giallo/verde [H] rivettato sul coperchio [B].
8. Per la versione senza schermo, rimuovere gli elementi copricatodo [G] ed infilarli sulla lampada fluorescente (T5 Ø16 - T8
Ø26). Inserire i terminali della lampada nella fessura dei portalampada, e ruotarla sul proprio asse di circa 90° per il
completo aggancio (vedi fig. 4). Ricollocare gli elementi copricatodo [G].
9. Per la versione Con Schermo, inserire i terminali della lampada fluorescente (T5 Ø16 - T8 Ø26) nella fessura dei
portalampada, e ruotarla sul proprio asse di circa 90° per il completo aggancio (vedi fig. 4).
10. Infine ricollocare le testate superiori [F] nella propria sede; (nella versione CS inserire prima una delle due testate superiori,
successivamente infilare lo schermo diffusore tra tale testata ed il coperchio di alluminio ed infine completare con
l'inserimento della seconda testata).

Avvertenze importanti

alle istruzioni.
• Si consiglia di controllare i componenti di materiale plastico - specialmente quelli preposti alla sospensione degli
apparecchi - almeno ad ogni ricambio lampada.
• I componenti che dovessero danneggiarsi devono essere sostituiti con componenti analoghi.
• L'installazione dei prodotti deve essere eseguita a regola d'arte.
• Per evitare surriscaldamenti pericolosi, si raccomanda di non installare l'apparecchio in spazi angusti privi di ricambio
d'aria.
• L'apparecchio è anche destinato ad essere installato su superfici normalmente infiammabili.
La Direttiva Europea 2002/96/CE sui rifiuti di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche, prevede che gli
apparecchi elettrici ed elettronici non possono essere trattati come normali rifiuti domestici. Il simbolo
di bidone sbarrato è riportato per ricordare gli obblighi di raccolta separata. Per la corretta dismissione,
si prega di servirsi delle discariche espressamente autorizzate o riconsegnati al distributore all'atto
dell'acquisto di un nuovo apparecchio. Le lampade, se smaltite con l'apparecchio, non devono essere
frantumate in quanto contenenti sostanze altamente inquinanti per l'ambiente. Lo smaltimento abusivo
di detti rifiuti è punito dalla legge.

General warnings
• The fitting is manufactured in a workmanlike fashion, and its electric life will be more efficient if it is used correctly.
• Read the following warnings carefully since they contain important information about installation, usage and maintenance
safety.
• After removing the packaging, make sure that the fitting is intact. If in doubt, do not use the fitting and contact your retailer.
• Packaging materials (plastic bags, etc.) must not be left within the reach of children, as they are a potential source of danger.
• Before connecting the fitting to the power supply make sure that the rating corresponds to the rating of the electricity network
to which the fitting will be connected. (The rating label is located on the cover of the fitting itself).
• This fitting must be used exclusively for the purpose for which it is explicitly designed, i.e. for lighting closed and not damp
environments, with a maximum ambient temperature of 35°C (95°F).
• Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operations, disconnect the fitting from the electricity network supply by
switching off the system's switch, and if a fault occurs, contact professionally qualified personnel only.
• Failure to observe the above may jeopardise the safety of the fitting.
• The manufacturer cannot be considered liable for any damages deriving from improper, wrong and unreasonable use of the
fitting.
Installation instructions
1. Rest the fitting without its packaging on the ground, on a table or on another surface.
2. Grip one of the two upper heads [F] at the end of the fitting and lift it up to extract it from its housing (for reference see fig.
1); do the same thing with the second head. In the CS version remove the diffuser shield also [S] (for reference see fig. 1a).
3. Remove the cover [B] from the base [A].
4. Obtain the inter-axis of the fixing holes from the relative table and mark it on the surface, where the fitting must be fixed.
5. Before fixing the fitting, thread the supply cable through the central hole [D] (for the 1x18W models with electronic ballast
perforate one of the closure heads [E] as indicated in fig. 2 and thread the cable through the hole thus created).
6. Once the fitting is securely fixed with screws or screw anchors (not supplied) connect it electrically as indicated in fig. 3.
7. Before replacing the cover [B] on the base [A], make sure that the earthing faston terminals [T], on the base [A], are
electrically connected via the yellow/green wire [H] riveted to the cover [B].
8. For the shield-less version, remove the cathode-cover elements [G] and thread them onto the s 26 fluorescent lamp (T5 Ø16
- T8 Ø26). Insert the lamp terminals into the slot of the lamp-holders, and turn it 90° on its own axis to complete the
connection (see fig. 4). Re-position the cathode-cover elements [G].
9. For the version with shield (CS), insert the lamp terminals into the slot of the lamp-holders (T5 Ø16 - T8 Ø26), and turn it
about 90° on its own axis to complete the connection fig. 4).
10. Finally, re-position the upper heads [F] in their housing; (in the CS version, first of all insert one of the two top heads, then
thread the diffuser shield between this head and the aluminium cover and finally complete by inserting the second head).

Important warnings
• The product must not be changed. Any change cancels the guarantee and may make the product dangerous. PLEXIFORM
S.p.A. declines any liability for damages caused by any of its products that have been mounted in a way that does not comply
with instructions.
• You are recommended to check the plastic components – especially those used to suspend fittings – at least every time you
change a lamp.
• Any damaged components must be replaced with identical components.
• The products must be installed in a workmanlike manner.
• To prevent dangerous overheating, do not install the fitting in narrow spaces without an exchange of air.
• The fitting is also designed to be installed on normally inflammable surfaces.
The European Directive 2002/96/CE on waste electrical and electronic equipment, requires that electric
and electronic devices must not be disposed of in the normal household waste. The crossed out
wheeled bin is reproduced in order to remember obligations towards separately collection. For correct
disposal, please use authorized waste disposal facilities or returned to the distributor at the date a new
lighting fitting is purchased. Lamps, if disposed together with the lighting fitting, shall not be broken up
since they contain substances which are highly polluting for the environment. Unauthorized disposal of
the foregoing waste material is punishable by law.
