7 – COOLING
The PA Series are equipped with electronically controlled
forced ventilation. The turbine, situated at the rear,
increase their speed according to the temperature or
power delivered by the amplifier. It is very important to
make sure the ventilation holes are unobstructed to enable
the free intake of air and release of hot air.
Intermittent operation of the turbine prolongs its useful life
and prevents the interior cooling ducts from becoming easily blocked.
Depending on the work conditions and installation site, the inside should be cleaned
regularly. This is done by removing the upper lid and alienating any remains of dust
and dirt. It is advisable to entrust this task to an authorized Technical Service.
8 - START-UP AND OPERATION
Once the mains, loudspeaker and sound sources (input) connections have been
made correctly, start up the pre-amp sources and then press the ON/OFF switch.
Turn the volume controls clockwise to obtain the desired gain.
9 - CLIP LIMITER CIRCUIT
This Led indicates the action of the clipping limiter, avoiding output distortion. Make
sure this Led is not alight permanently! No extra power is obtained in this way and
dynamics are lost.
10 - PROTECTION
The LOW LOAD Led will light if the impedance of the Load which is connected to the
Output terminals (LOUDSPEAKERS) is lower than the nominal value or in case of
short circuit.
The Led will also start to light in case of over temperature on the heatsinks, that may
cause the breakage of the turbine, or the obstruction of the cooling channels.
11- EXAMPLES
The PA-300TL is a 2-channel amplifier at 150W / 64Ω (minimum load impedance at
100V). The number of boxes that can be connected in parallel will be the result of
dividing the impedance of each cabinet (Ω) by 64. It is essential to know the
impedance of the box used.
