# Description Function
13 Disc Tray Place a DVD or CD, label side up, into
this tray.
14 USB jack Plug an external USB device into this
jack.

Note
Connect the AC cord only after the speakers, antennas,
and all optional equipment have been connected. Never
make or change any connections with the power switched
on. The rating plan is located on the back of the system.
# Description Function
1 Power cord Plug into an electrical outlet
2 Speakers Connect the left speaker to the L
terminals and right speaker to the R
terminals. Connect the colored wire to
the color terminal and black wire to the
black terminal.
3 Video Output For connecting VCRs or other
recording devices.
Audio Outputs For connecting the audio (L/R) signals
to external recording devices, such as
VCRs.
4 Coaxial output Connect to an external device that has
a digital audio input jack.
5 FM antenna For FM reception connect the FM
input antenna to the FM jack. Adjust until the
connections clearest signal is received.
AM loop For AM reception, connect the AM loop
antenna antenna to the AM jack. Adjust until the
connections clearest signal is received. Insert the
stripped portion of the antenna into the
terminal fully.
Note: Position the antenna as far as
possible from TV, VCR, or other
radiation source.
6 Component and Connect to a television that has
progressive component video input . Use
video outputs component video cables. This type of
connection provides the best picture
quality.
