Installing Electrical Kit
1. Disconnect battery negative terminal.
2. Loosen or remove the following covers and panelling, if required:
•
On the right of the vehicle
Luggage compartment cover
-
Rear bench seat
-
Side panelling, rear
-
Lower panelling of C, B and A-pillars
-
Door sill trim plate
-
Cover of fuse carrier
-
3. Remove factory-fitted 37 mm hole cover below the right rear light.
4. Route cable end with 16-pin black plug from outside through cable passage to device carrier
(fig. 3/1).
5. Insert rubber grommet into cable passage.
6. Route cable set with the ready-made cable ties to socket retaining plate and secure in
designated holes of towing hitch.

7. Press contact insert (fig. 2/1) into socket housing (fig. 2/2) and push rubber seal up to the
socket.
8. Secure socket to retaining plate (fig. 2/3) using the pre-fitted screws, torque setting: max. 2.0
Nm.
