MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
Periodic maintenance is suggested to keep
the vent operating satisfactorily.
NOTE: NEVER PAINT OR COVER THE
VENT.
To clean the screen follow these steps:
1. The vent screen can be removed with-
out removing the vent from the vent
pipe. Remove the two screws in the
side of the body. See figure 4.
2. Pull the vent top out of the body as
shown in figure 5.
3. Remove the Spring Guide (white
plastic) as shown in Figure 5. (Note:
This may come out with vent top).
4. Remove the screen and clean.
5. Before installing the screen, blow out
any debris around the poppets.
6. Check the two drain holes in the body
for debris before re-installing the screen.
7. To install the screen, align the screen
over the four tabs molded in the body.
8. Re-install the top and the Spring Guide.
9. Align the screw holes in the body with
the lugs on the top. It is not necessary to
reuse the same two holes as before since
the retaining screws are self drilling and
can be installed in the two new lugs if
necessary. Tighten the screws being
careful not to strip the threads in the
body.
WARRANTY: All OPW parts and products are thoroughly inspected and tested from the time raw material is received at our plant until
the product is completed. We guarantee that all products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year
from the date of manufacture or shipment from OPW's plant. Any product that may prove defective within that one year
period will, at OPW's option, be promptly repaired or replaced or credit given for future orders. This warranty shall not apply to any
product which has been altered in any way, which has been repaired by any party other than an authorized OPW Service Representative
or when failure is due to misuse or conditions of use. OPW shall have no liability for special or consequential damages to any party, and
shall have no liability for labor costs, freight costs or any other cost or charges in excess of the amount of the invoice for the products.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
AND SPECIFICALLY THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND
BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF.
WARNING: OPW products should be used in compliance with applicable federal,
state and local laws and regulations. Product selection should be based on physical
specifications and limitations and compatibility with the environment and material
to be handled. OPW reserves the right to change specifications at any time without
incurring obligations.

INSTRUCCIONES PARA
EL MANTENIMIENTO
Mantenimiento periódico es sugerido para
que el venteo funcione satisfactoriamente.
NOTA: NUNCA PINTE O CUBRA EL VENTEO
Para limpiar la malla siga estos pasos:
1. La malla puede ser removida sin sacar el
venteo de la tubería. Remueva los dos tornil-
los al costado del cuerpo. Vea la figura 4.
2. Remueva la tapa del venteo como se
muestra en la figura 5.
3. Remueva la guía del resorte (plástico blanco)
como se muestra en figura 5. (Nota: Esta
puede salir junto con la tapa del venteo).
4. Remueva la malla y límpiela.
5. Antes de instalar la malla, sople para
remover cualquier suciedad alojada
alrededor de los obturadores.
6. Verifique que los dos orificios de drenaje
en el cuerpo no contengan suciedad antes
de reinstalar la malla.
7. Para instalar la malla, se debe alinear
sobre los soportes moldeados en el cuerpo.
8. Reinstale la tapa y la guía del resorte.
9. Ponga en línea los orificios para tornillos en
el cuerpo con las salientes de fijación de la
tapa. No es necesario usar los mismos dos
orificios de antes ya que los tornillos de
fijación son autotaladrantes y se pueden
instalar en las nuevas salientes de fijación
si fuera necesario. Apriete los tornillos
teniendo cuidado de no pasarse de rosca.
