• Diode Measurement
1) Place the rotary switch on
2) Avoid damages to the meter. When measuring a diode, cut off the power supply of the object to be measured
and make sure there is no charge in the capacitor.
3) When measuring the voltage drop of a diode, transistor or any other semiconductor, its silicon structure should
read positive and stay between 0.5V and 0.8V.
• Transistor hFE Measurement
1) Make sure the transistor is a PNP or NPN type.
2) Connect the transistor to be measured to the corresponding jacks.
3) The LCD displays the hFR reference value.
4) Measuring conditions: Ibo ≈ 10µ A, Vce ≈ 3V.
• Square Wave Output
1) Place the rotary switch on
2) To avoid damaging the meter, do not let the output terminal reach higher than 10V.
3) The frequency is 50Hz.
4) The output voltage range will be over 3V when it is loaded 1 Mohms.
5) Use the square wave output to repair audio equipment.
