UTENSILS
• This oven is a combi-microwave oven and grill. This poses some constraints
regarding the types of utensils that can be used. Before use, it is recommended that
you check that utensils are appropriate for microwave use.
• Containers that are most suited in every case are heat-resistant glass or ceramic
containers. All metal containers and utensils must not be used. In effect,
microwaves cannot penetrate metals. If such utensils are used, sparks or flashes
may appear that could be hazardous for the user and may seriously damage
the appliance. Equally, do not put food or liquids into aluminium boxes or

aluminium foil.
• In general, never put hermetically sealed containers into a microwave as they may
explode due to the heat. Ensure that you remove the cover or leave opening to
allow steam to escape.
• The user is strongly recommended to regularly and carefully monitor cooking.
• Use glass or ceramic containers.
• For short cooking periods not using the grill, plastic or cardboard containers may
be used, as wells as frozen dishes, on the condition that films have been pierced
with a fork beforehand to allow steam to escape.
• Before use, check that utensils are appropriate for use in microwaves. No metallic
utensils must be used. In effect, metallic objects cause sparks or flashes that may
cause serious damage to your appliance. Equally, do not put food or liquids into
aluminium boxes or aluminium foil.
• Do not use wooden containers as they may burn.
• Do not use any metal or cast iron crockery or earthenware with even small metal
parts (including silver or gold), as your appliance might break down.
• In general, never put closed containers that might explode due to the heat into a
microwave without removing the lid, of if there is no opening.
• It is recommended that you monitor the microwave from time to time while food is
being heated or cooked in plastic, paper or other combustible disposable containers.
• When food is heated in plastic or paper containers, check the microwave frequently
due to the risk of fire.
• Do not store cooking or paper utensils in the oven.
The list below is an indicative guide to help you choose appropriate utensils and
containers to cooking in safety.
