Before First Use
IMPORTANT: Please check all packaging material carefully before discarding as there may be
accessory parts contained within the packaging material.
WARNING: Only the Ceramic Pot and Glass Lid is dishwasher safe.
• Before your first use, wash the Ceramic Pot and Glass Lid using warm soapy water. Rinse
thoroughly and dry before inserting Pot into Base.
• Plug the Slow Cooker into a standard 120 Volt AC electrical outlet, turn the Control Knob
from "Off" to "High". Allow the product to operate for about 15 minutes. When time has
elapsed, turn the Control Knob back to the "Off" position and unplug the appliance. Allow
it to cool for about 15 minutes.
Attention: First use may cause a slight odor or small smoking upon heating, it is normal.
This is a result of the heating element chemical reaction. It quickly goes away.
Using Your Slow Cooker:
WARNING: Avoid contact with hot surfaces.
1. Add any ingredients according to your choice of recipe, allowing a space of 2 inches from
the top of Ceramic Pot.
2. Connect plug to the nearest electrical outlet.
3. Turn the Control Knob to the desired position (Low, High, or Warm)
Note: The Warm setting will keep foods at a low setting without boiling.
4. When heating is complete turn the Control Knob back to the "Off" position and unplug the
appliance form the electrical outlet.
CAUTION: Do not overfill the appliance or operate it when empty. Always unplug the product
from the electrical outlet when it is not in use or will be left unattended.
CAUTION: Do not operate the product for more than six hours continuously.
TIP: To reduce excess moisture when heating is completed. Remove the Lid and turn the
Control Knob to "High" for about 30-45 minutes.
Note: To prevent heat loss, center the lid on the pot and do not remove the Lid while
cooking.
