• Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types or from different manufacturers.
• Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended period (unless these
are being kept ready for an emergency).
• Do not short-circuit batteries.
• Do not charge batteries.
• Do not burn batteries.
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can
contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
• Remove spent batteries from the product and dispose of them without delay.
• Avoid storing, charging and using in extreme temperatures and at extremely low atmospheric
pressures (such as at high altitudes).

4. Getting started

Open the battery compartment cover, remove the contact interrupter and close
the battery compartment cover again.
5. Operation
5.1. Automatic setting of the time according to the DCF signal
• After the contact interrupter is removed, the alarm clock automatically starts to search for a DCF
signal.
• After around 5-10 minutes (depending on how quickly the radio signal is received), the hands on
the clock will adjust to the correct time.

5.2. Manual time setting

• If the correct time has not been set automatically after around 10 minutes, no DCF signal has been
received.
• Press and hold the SET button to set the correct time manually. Once the required time is reached,
release the SET button.
• The clock automatically continues to search for the DCF signal every day. Once the signal is received
successfully, the manually set time and date are overridden.
• Change the location if necessary and avoid areas with sources of interference (cordless and mobile
phones, radio loudspeakers, WLAN, etc.).
5.3. Starting manual reception
• When the clock is running, press the REC button for 3 seconds. The hands move to the 12:00
position. The clock now starts to search for the DCF signal.
• If no signal has been received, the clock will show the time previously stored.
