Door / Window Alarm Instructions
The Westek Magnetic Door Alarm warns of unwanted intruders in your home by detecting entry. This unit can easily be mounted on most doors or windows. Do
not install alarm in areas where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or high humidity. This unit can provide valuable protection if used correctly, however it cannot
guarantee complete protection against robbery or burglary.
Installation Instructions:
1. Mount the main unit to a door or wall using screw provided and key hole opening on the back of the main unit.
2. Remove the double-sided adhesive tape from the back of the magnetic piece that is attached to the main unit with wire. Mount the magnet piece on the
molding or sash of door/window. Make sure the arrow on the magnet is pointing away from the main unit.
3. Remove the double-sided adhesive tape from the back of the second magnet piece. Mount the second magnet piece on the window or door with the arrow
lined up with the first magnetic piece. The arrows should be pointing towards each other.
Note: Make sure that both magnet pieces are mounted no more than ¼" from each other. When the door opens, the magnetic sensor will trigger the alarm.
Operation Instructions:
Note: The default security code is 0000. Once mounted, you must arm the
alarm in order for it to activate.
1. Press 0000# or the code that is currently in memory. Press the "#" button.
The unit will emit a confirming beep and the red LED will light up for 10
seconds indicating the unit is armed.
2. If the wrong code is entered, you will hear two short beeps. Press the correct
code and press the "#" button. A confirmation beep should be heard.
3. To disarm the unit, enter the security code followed by the "#" button.
Changing the Security Code:
Note: Each time batteries are replaced, the security code will automatically
reset to "0000".
1. Enter the Previous code.
2. Press the "*" button. The unit will beep once to confirm your code.
3. Enter the new code (1-12 digits).
4. Press "*" button again and the unit will beep once to confirm your new code
has been entered.

Alarm Settings:
Note: Make sure that you arm the alarm unit once you choose the appropriate
setting.
CHIME: This mode is use to make you aware of anyone walking through
the door.
1. Move switch to Chime position.
2. Any time the door is opened, a pleasant chime will play.
3. To disarm the unit, enter the security code followed by the # button.
INSTANT: This mode is used to protect you when you are at home.
1. Move switch to the Instant position.
2. Any time the door is opened, the alarm will immediately sound a 110dB
alarm siren.
3. To disarm the unit, enter the security code followed by the # button.
DELAY: This mode is used when you are leaving you're home.
1. Move switch to the Delay position.
2. Upon your return, an entry alert beep tone will sound to alert you to disarm
the unit. If the unit is not disarmed within 10 seconds of entry, the alarm will
sound a 110dB alarm siren.
Battery Installation:
1. Remove screw from back of unit and set
aside.
2. Remove the batteries and replace with
three new "AA" batteries by following the
(+/-) indications.
3. Replace cover.
4. Dispose of batteries according to local
laws.
Note: Each time batteries are replaced, the
security code will automatically reset to
"0000".
