3.2. USE RECOMMENDATIOS.
In TIG welding we must only use straight polarity, placing the welding torch in the negative pole.
Remember that in this welding process we will use the wire feeder of your equipment, so that the general
concepts of application of drive rollers and input material diameter must be respected.
This work mode enables the user to achieve welding with more marked surface aspect, and it is optimal for
automated or robotised applications, where the movement speed and the height of the torch are constant
features.
Settings recommendations
D - Input Mode: the automatic input allows you to define the No. of material inputs per second,
independently controlling the input and welding intensity. The synchronised mode will adjust the metal filler
input according to the selected intensity parameter (J).
E - Input Frequency: a low frequency will provide less material, highlighting the waters (humping) of the
weld seam. On the contrary, a high frequency will provide more metal, reducing the overall thermal input and
the deformation of the joint, marking less the waters (humping).
H - Delay: for work in thin thicknesses a low delay is recommended, the metal input will start immediately.
For thicker materials, we will gradually increase the delay time, thus allowing the creation of the melt bath
prior to the input.
J - Input sensitivity: to convert intermittent wire input in continuous, lower the sensitivity level to a minimum.
Remember that the system provides material whenever the welding intensity exceeds the value set in this
parameter.
A - Burn Back: a high adjustment of return wire will allow obtaining flat weld seams with lower allowance.
On the contrary, a low setting will keep the wire close to the melting pool, obtaining more uniform inputs for
internal angled weld seams.

CHAPTER 4. MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS. RECOMMENDATIONS.

In order for the equipment to have a long life we must follow some essential rules for maintenance and
use. Abide by these recommendations.
CORRECT MAINTENANCE OF THE EQUIPMENT WILL AVOID A GREAT PERCENTAGE OF FAULTS.
4.1. MACHINE MAINTENANCE. GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS.
Before carrying out any maintenance operation on the wire feeder, it is advisable to have disconnected it
from the power source.
Specialized personnel must handle the machine to carry out maintenance and repair operations.
BLOW THE INSIDE OF THE MACHINE WITH COMPRESSED AIR FROM TIME TO TIME.
The accumulation of metal dust on the inside is one of the main causes of breakdowns in this type of
equipment as they are subject to a great amount of pollution. As an essential measure, the equipment must be
kept separate from the welding place, not placing it a short distance away.
SET THE EQUIPMENT IN A PLACE WHERE CLEAN AIR IS CONSTANTLY REPLACED.
KEEP CLOSED THE MACHINE PANELS.
KEEP THE WELDING TORCH IN GOOD CONDITIONS FOR USE.
A damaged or worn torch can cause inefficient welding.
