Charging process
•
Charge the batteries when the device is not being used. Remove batteries before periods
of prolonged storage. Rechargeable batteries lose capacity over time.
•
Switch off the device during charging (lever all the way down).
•
When charging, always use the charging unit designed for the Headlight MedLED
™
Sapphire
/ Onyx
•
The charging port (USB socket under the left-hand battery pack) loads all inserted
batteries, i.e. on both sides. The charging unit may vary according to device serial and lot
number.
WARNING
To avoid personal injury and damage to property (e.g. via electrical shock or fire):
•
Always use the rechargeable batteries and charging units supplied to operate the
Headlight MedLED Sapphire
•
The battery must not be opened, disposed of in fire, have its polarity reversed, or mixed
with used batteries or other types of batteries or short-circuited batteries. In such cases,
it could catch fire, explode, leak or overheat in excess of 212 °F(100 °C) and thus cause
injuries.
•
Do not use any batteries that are damaged or leaking. Dispose of these in accordance
with the applicable disposal regulations.
•
Only use the charging unit in dry locations. Keep the device away from rain, snow or
excessive levels of moisture.
•
Never connect charging units to extension cables.
•
Do not use the charging unit if it is damaged.
•
Isolate the device from mains power before servicing or cleaning work.
