Cleaning and care
G
WARNING
The water jet from a high-pressure cleaner
can cause damage to the tyres or drive belt
that is not visible on the surface. Compo-
nents damaged in this way can fail unex-
pectedly. There is a risk of an accident.
Do not use a high-pressure cleaner when
cleaning the ebike. Have damaged tyres or
drive belt replaced without delay.
G
WARNING
Braking efficiency is reduced after
washing the bike. There is a risk of an
accident.
After washing, brake the ebike carefully,
paying attention to traffic conditions,
until full braking efficiency is restored.
!
Do not use a high-pressure cleaner when
cleaning the smart ebike. The powerful
water jet could enter the bearings or
damage the electrical components of the
drive system.
Do not point the water jet from a hose
directly at the electrical components or
the mountings of wheels, pedal cranks
and head bearings.
X
Do not use abrasive products, polish or
bleach.
X
Do not use solvents or cleaning agents
containing solvents.
X
Place the rubber cap over the electrical
contacts in the battery holder.
X
Use as little water as possible and keep
water away from electrical contacts.
Lukewarm water (approx. 20 †) is com-
pletely sufficient for cleaning.
X
Remove heavy soiling using mild, com-
mercially available cleaning agents or
special biological bicycle cleaners.
X
Do not allow these cleaning agents to act
for too long or to dry out.
X
Do not use concentrated cleaning agents.
X
Clean the ebike using a soft cloth, sponge
or industrial cotton wadding. Do not use
abrasive cloths.
X
