Scanning, Editing & Saving Your Pictures

Use the included mini-USB cable to connect Slides Forever to your computer's USB port.
Once connected, its power light will turn on.
Note for Windows users: The first time you connect Slides Forever to your computer, wait
a few seconds until you see a dialog box that says Found New Hardware (this means the
computer recognizes Slides Forever). After you see this, Slides Forever is ready to use.

Insert the loaded feeder or holder properly into the slot.

Open the ImageScanTool software on your computer.

Click the folder button and select the location to save your pictures.
Windows

Select the proper Film Type setting for the kind of film you want to scan: color negatives
(Negative), slides (Slide), or black-and-white negatives (B & W).

Select the quality you want for the resulting scan:
• On Windows: Standard or Interpolated.
• On macOS: 2400 DPI or 4800 DPI.

Press the Copy button on Slides Forever or click Snapshot on the screen. The image will
appear in the scan list (Final images to save) in the software window, where you can edit
it and save it to your computer.

Edit the image, if you want. Skip to Step 9 to scan more images, or skip to Step 10 to
save your images to your computer.
To flip the image horizontally, click Mirror.
To turn the image clockwise 90º, click Rotate.
To adjust the brightness of the image:
• On Windows: Click Color/Brightness Adjustment, and then click and drag the
Brightness slider.
• On macOS: Click and drag the Exposure Value slider.
To adjust the color of the image:
• On Windows: Click Color/Brightness Adjustment, and then click and drag the
red (R), green (G), and blue (B) sliders.
• On macOS: Click and drag the Red, Green, and Blue sliders.
