2 Function and application
The lubrication adapter DGC(I)−...−C/EGC−...−C has been designed for continuous
lubrication of the bearing guide and recirculating ball bearing spindle (if present)
of linear drives DGC(I)−...−KF and EGC−...−KF from Festo. The lubricant is supplied
centrally via an external lubrication system to the lubrication holes on both sides
of the slide. The following illustration shows an example of the lubrication system
for:
products with bearing guide (e.g. for DGC(I)−...−KF/EGC−...−KF) and
products with bearing guide and recirculating ball bearing spindle
(e.g. for EGC−...KF−BS).

3 Installation
Note
Uneven lubrication reduces the service life.
· Join the connections of the slide to the lubrication system on both sides.
Note
If the tightening torque is too high, the lubrication adapter can be damaged.
· Observe the tightening torques for the screw connections:
· Select one of the following connection variants:
Direct connection
Connection via customer construction (e.g. self−made connecting plate).
· Note that if shock absorbers are used, only the following lubrication holes may
be used:
