The purpose of the HL10 handset lifter is to lift and lower a telephone
handset in conjunction with a compatible Plantronics amplifier. It should
not be used for any other purpose.
•
To ensure safe operation, install, adjust and operate the HL10 handset
lifter according to these instructions.
•
Do not operate or locate this product in a damp environment.
•
Keep fingers and other objects clear of the lifting pad.

HL10 TELEPHONE HANDSET LIFTER
The HL10 telephone handset lifter is designed to lift and lower the
handset of a telephone in conjunction with compatible Plantronics
corded and cordless amplifiers. When activated it automatically lifts
most standard telephone handsets off the hookswitch.
INSTALLATION OF THE HL10 WITH THE A20/A22 AMPLIFIER
1.
Remove the handset lifter from the packaging and identify the
components as detailed in the diagrams A-D on Page 2.
2.
IMPORTANT – Do not remove the backing from the adhesive mounting
tape until directed to do so.
3.
Remove the accessory deck cover from the A20/A22 amplifier and then
disconnect the power cable from the AC adapter port. Plug the power
cable of the handset lifter into the accessory port on the amplifier and
turn the jack plug to the left so that it lies flat. Then reconnect the
power supply and replace the accessory deck cover, ensuring that all
the cables are neatly arranged. NOTE – if using an On-line Indicator
in conjunction with your amplifier this must be disconnected from the
amplifier and plugged into the accessory port on the handset lifter.
4.
Position the HL10 under the telephone handset close to the hookswitch
and remove a small section of the backing from the adhesive mounting
tape to temporarily position the lifter. It is not necessary to secure the
lifter using all 3 sections of tape – select the one most suitable for
your telephone.
5.
When the lifter is in position you can test its operation by pressing the
headset/handset button on your amplifier. This will activate the lifter
and raise the handset. You will now hear a dial tone in your headset.
The On-line Indicator, if fitted, will also flash.
6.
The lifter height switch has three positions - low, medium and high.
Choose the lowest setting which allows the lifter to raise the handset
clear of the hookswitch. After selecting the height, press the headset/
handset button several times to ensure correct alignment of the
handset lifter and free movement of the handset.
