5000XT DPM Quick Start Guide
If unit was shipped with the battery installed, the battery must
Note:
be calibrated, see "Calibrating the Battery" in the Operation Manual.
Installing the Battery
Do not connect to any external power before disassembly.
1.
Lay the DPM, display side down, on a clean surface.
2.
Remove the two mounting screws from the back cover.
3.
Remove the back cover.
4.
Install the battery.
5.
Replace the back cover.
6.
Secure the back cover with the mounting screws.
7.
Attach the DPM to an external power source to charge the battery.
8.
Charge the battery for five hours before use.
Connecting
Never attempt to connect or disconnect RF equipment from the transmission line
Note:
If the 5000-XT is connected to a PC when starting or restarting the PC, it
may cause the boot process to lock up. Disconnect the 5000-XT before
starting or restarting the PC.
Note:
Use the appropriate Bird Power sensor for the RF power measurement
application. An attenuator may be required.
