3 | Safety

3.1 | Intended use

The gazzini Brake Fluid Reservoir is used to enhance the look of the motorcycle as a replacement
for original brake and clutch hydraulic fluid reservoirs, as long as these are installed with a separate
connection hose from the hydraulic assembly.
To ensure that you use the components correctly and safely on your motorcycle, always adhere to
the specifications in your vehicle owner's manual and the directions of the vehicle manufacturer.
The gazzini Brake Fluid Reservoir must only be used as described in these instructions. Any
other use is considered improper use and may result in personal injury or material damage. The
manufacturer and supplier accept no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.

3.2 | Safety instructions

WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
abilities (e.g. partially disabled persons, elderly persons with reduced physical
and mental abilities) or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. older children)!
• The product includes small parts and packaging which could be swallowed.
Keep these out of the reach of children, as there is a risk of asphyxiation if they
are swallowed.
10
WARNING!
Risk of poisoning!
• The hydraulic system contains brake fluid. Class DOT 3, 4 and 5.1 brake fluid
is extremely toxic. Therefore they must never be stored in drinking bottles.
If brake fluid is ingested accidentally, seek medical attention immediately.
Danger! In case of contact with the eyes, flush immediately with copious
amounts of water. Brake fluid must be disposed of properly at a waste
collection point, and must not be mixed with used oil.
WARNING!
Risk of accident!
• All work on the brake and clutch system requires comprehensive technical
knowledge of the automobile trade. It is imperative that you have this work
carried out by a specialist workshop if you do not have the respective
professional qualification yourself.
• Once all work on the braking system is complete, carefully check that the
braking system is working before restarting the vehicle. The same applies to
the hydraulic clutch.
IMPORTANT!
Risk of damage!
• Sprayed/leaked DOT 3, 4 and 5.1 class brake fluid must always be washed
off painted vehicle parts immediately with copious amounts of clear water.
Otherwise the paintwork could sustain lasting damage.
• Not suitable for brake fluid class DOT 5

4 | Installation

4.1 | Preparation

Jack up the vehicle securely and in vertical position, in a well-lit, clean workplace. The area around
the brake fluid reservoir being replaced should be well covered with impermeable foil in order to
protect painted parts from leaked brake fluid and splashes. Align the brake fluid reservoir vertically
then carefully open the lid, carefully lift the inner rubber seal and draw off the existing liquid with a
syringe.

4.2 | Removal

Push on the clamp for the hose connector with a set of pliers and push it off the nozzle. Carefully
detach the hose and, as you do so, mop up any spilled liquid immediately with an absorbent cloth.
Unscrew and remove the old brake fluid reservoir from the mount.
4.3 | Installation
Hold the gazzini Brake Fluid Reservoir against the vehicle and determine the suitable installation
position. The reservoir should be installed in a vertical position. If necessary, depending on the
vehicle instrument cluster, it may be necessary to fashion a suitable adapter for the bracket yourself
in order to be able to attach the reservoir. Fit the supplied bracket to the base of the gazzini Brake
Fluid Reservoir, align it appropriately and screw it in place. Then, connect the reservoir to the hose
of the hydraulic unit and push the clamp onto the nozzle. Attach the gazzini Brake Fluid Reservoir
to the vehicle, align it vertically and screw it in place. Fill the reservoir with fresh hydraulic fluid
