5. Remove bearing cap bolts on exhaust side of camshaft.
6. Slacken bearing cap bolts on inlet side of camshaft.
7. Carefully raise oil pipe. Remove camshaft bearing cap.
8. Install timing tool in place of bearing cap No.2.
9. Tighten all bearing cap bolts to required torque value.
10. Fit timing belt in following order:
•
Camshaft sprocket
•
Water pump pulley
•
Tensioner sprocket
11. Lever tensioner sprocket bracket at position until pointer at maximum setting. Tighten tensioner
sprocket nut.
12. Hold camshaft sprocket. Tighten bolt to required torque value.
13. Remove timing tool from camshaft bearing No.2 Take care not to damage oil pipe.
14. Fit camshaft bearing cap No.2. Tighten bearing cap bolts to required torque value.
15. Remove timing tool from crankshaft sprocket. Fit oil pump bolts.
16. Turn crankshaft two turns clockwise.
17. Slacken tensioner sprocket nut.
Lever tensioner sprocket bracket at position until pointer and mark aligned.
18. Tighten tensioner sprocket nut to required torque value.
19. Install components in reverse order of removal.
20. Ensure crankshaft pulley located correctly on pin.
21. Tighten crankshaft pulley bolts to required torque value.
