DANGER!
Read and understand all instructions for
installing Viega SeaPress fittings. Failure
to follow all instructions may result in extensive
property damage, serious injury, or death.
Cut copper-nickel tubing at right angles using

displacement-type cutter or fine-toothed steel saw.
Keep end of tubing a minimum of 4" away from

the contact area of the vise to prevent possible
damage to the tubing in the press area.
Remove burr from inside and outside of tubing to

prevent cutting sealing element.

Check seal and grip ring for correct fit. Do not use
oils or lubricants. Use only SeaPress shiny black
EPDM sealing elements.

Mark proper insertion depth as indicated by
the SeaPress Insertion Depth Chart. Improper
insertion depth may result in an improper seal.

Copper-nickel tubing must be free of surface
imperfections, including metal stamped print
lines, before a SeaPress fitting is installed.

While turning slightly, slide press fitting onto
tubing to the marked depth. End of tubing must
contact stop.

SeaPress 76.1mm to 108mm fitting connections
must be performed with Metric XL press rings
and a V2 or Z2 actuator. See RIDGID Operator's
Manual for proper tool instructions.

Open the Metric XL press ring and place at right
angles on the fitting. The ring must be engaged on
the fitting bead. Check insertion depth.

With the V2 or Z2 actuator inserted into the tool,
open the actuator as shown and connect the
actuator to the ring.

Place the V2 or Z2 actuator onto the Metric XL
press ring and start the pressing process. Hold the

trigger until the actuator has engaged the Metric
XL press ring. Keep extremities and foreign objects

away from ring and actuator during pressing
operation to prevent injury or incomplete press.

Once the press has completed, release the
actuator from the Metric XL press ring and then
remove the ring from the fitting. Remove the tag
from fitting, indicating press has been performed.
When pressure testing a Viega Seapress
fittings system, a step pressure test is
recommended to check for unpressed
fittings. This can be done by filling the system
with air or water to 85 psi. After a successful step
test the system can be brought up to 200 psi for
Pressure test inspection per codes governing the
installation.
