next service is due. The pressing tool must always be taken for
maintenance together with the pressing jaws in its transport case.

Maintenance
• Check the pressing tool and mains cable for externally visible defects
and damage that could affect safety
• Clean and lubricate the pressing tool
• Clean and lubricate pressing jaws/adapters and pressing collars/
MapressMAM jaw adapters: see operating instructions of the particular
system
• Top up gearbox grease (Order no. 90010)
• Have an electrician or an authorised specialist workshop perform a
check and take measurements in order to establish any defects or
damage that could affect safety.
• This check should include measuring the following values:
- Insulation resistance
- Dielectric strength
- Leakage current
- Contact current
• However, this does not replace any specific national regulations and
legislation that might prescribe further checks and service work.
