3. Fill pipette

Make sure that no liquid gets into the device! The function of the mem-
brane filter is impaired, and the suction capacity decreases. In this case,
replace membrane filter; see Replace filter and clean adapter, p. 37 .
The further the lever is moved upwards, the stronger the suction effect
(i.e., the faster the meniscus rises)!
With large pipettes (> 50 ml), the vacuum in the suction bellows is not
sufficient to draw up the entire amount of liquid at once. In this case:
Press the suction bellows together again and continue to pull it up.
4. Set volume
a.
If necessary, wipe the tip of the pipette with a suitable lint-free cloth.
b.
Press the pipetting lever down gently until the meniscus is precisely
adjusted.
