e. Assembling Gyro
Assemling gyro:
Make sure all the radio control system components and servos
are in right and easy working condition, and the servo arms are
in the right position.
Fix the gyro to the right place close to the center of gravity.
Plug the connector of the gyro to plug-in 4 and the second one
for the sensitivity (only one cable) to plug-in 5.
Switch on the transmitter and center the trim of the tail rotor.
Connect the flying battery with the controller and wait untill the
LED of the gyro is on. Now the gyro is initialising and it is not
allowed to move the helcopter. After ca. 10 seconds the gyro is
ready and the process of adjustment completed. Otherwise you
need to check the connections over again.
1. Ensure that the wireless remote controller and the servos are
working perfectly and that the servo arms are in the correct
position.
2. Attach the gyroscope in an absolutely horizontal position.
3. Plug the CH4 and CH5 servo connectors into the appropriate
slots on the receiver. Attach the rear servo to the gyroscope.
4. Switch the transmitter on and centre the trimming lever to
the middle. Connect the flight battery and wait until the LED
on the gyroscope lights up. The gyroscope will then start a
test run of the functions. The LED blinks for approx. 10
seconds and than stays alightened. The gyroscope is ready
for operation. If not, you must check to ensure that the con-
nections are ok and start the installation process over again.
5. Adjust the reverse switch on the gyroscope:
Turn the helicopter towards the left. If the servo movement
on the rear servo rotor is the same as if the left control stick
on the transmitter is moved towards the right, then the
direction is ok. If this is not the case, then you must reverse
the reverse switch on the gyroscope.
6. Adjust spinner/ gyro-sensitivity (gain):
Keep an eye on the rear end when flying the helicopter for
the first time. If the rear end always veers more towards the
right or the left, the rotary gain potentiometer (adjuster for
rotary potentiometer) must be turned further towards „+"
until the rear end stabilises whilst hovering.

To set the reverse switch of the gyro:
Turn the helicopter head to the left, if the servo's movement on
the tail pipe is the same as the servo's when turning the rudder
joystick right, that means the direction is ok. Otherwise you
need to turn the reverse switch to the other end.
Gain adjustment:
With the first test of the helicopter, after take off, notice the tail
pipe. Is there any deflexion or is the tail of the helicopter not
calm, you have to reduce the gain till you get a good result.
If the rear end starts to kick out jerkily then the gyro-
sensitivity (gain) must be adjusted a little more towards „-"
again.
Tip:
It is better to increase the gyroscope's sensitivity a little
if the rear end is not kicking out jerkily.
