Bikes on Rail
Experience a seamless transition from our
light-rail line directly to activities and
employment centers. METRO has modified
seating on our trains to safely allow for bikes
while providing additional areas for mobility-
impaired patrons.
Bikes are allowed onboard METRORail any
time, and can be secured at either the first
or last door of every vehicle. Look for decals
on each door for the proper entrance for you
and your bike. Remember, there is a two-bike
limit per train to ensure the best use of this
valuable space.
Please note — for safety reasons, bus operators are not
allowed to help load or unload bicycles from the buses,
and METRO is not responsible for any damage to bikes.
Cycling in the City
Grab a bike and go! Rent a bicycle from the
Houston B-cycle bike sharing service and bring
your wheels aboard any METRO vehicle.
Go to Houston.bcycle.com to find a station
and then plan your ride using maps from
houstonbikeways.org.
Bikes on buses is just one more
way we all use METRO.
