Roughneck E1049 Ground Contact
Installation & Maintenance Information
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Ground contact that fits onto E1049 panel mount receptacle shells. Takes
place of one of the shell mounting bolts, to reduce panel footprint, and reduce
electrical noise. Mates to Cam-Lok E1015 series plugs.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Assemble components to E1049 mounting shell.
a. Assemble external tooth lock washer to contact with serrated teeth
facing the mounting shell. Option – If mounting shell grounding is not
required, then external tooth lock washer may be discarded.
b. Slip contact threaded stud through one of the E1049 shell mounting
hole bolts.
c. On rear side of panel, place flat washer over contact stud, and
tighten one hex nut to 15 ft.-lbs. to secure contact. 15 ft.-lbs. and the
lock washer are required to ground the contact to the mounting shell.
A 7/16" wrench flat is provided on the front of the contact to prevent
rotation while tightening the nut.
d. Lastly, assemble a 3/8" stud hole compression lug (not provided)
and wire (#8-#4 AWG) to the stud and tighten the remaining hex nut to
15 ft.-lbs.
