INSTALLING THE AIR CONDITIONER
1. Determine where to install the air conditioner, which must be near a window (if you are using
the included window kit; otherwise, we recommend three to four feet of separation between
the intake and exhaust holes) and have a power outlet (we recommend running the unit on a
dedicated 15A circuit if possible). NOTE: Do not attempt to operate this unit without properly
ventilating it, as this will not work to cool the room and will void the warranty. The exhaust and
intake ducts must be routed outside the room to the exterior of the structure.
2. Clear and clean the windowsill where you will install the air conditioner.
3. Open window and attach window kit to window.
4. Attach the oval fixing clip to the window unit kit.
5. Expand the exhaust hose to its full length.
6. Twist both ends of the exhaust hose counter clockwise, fitting one end into the square fixing clip
and one end into the oval fixing clip.
7. Expand a second exhaust hose to its full length.
8. Attach the exhaust hose to the bottom hole on the back of the unit and the other opening on the
window unit kit.
9. Close the window so it that it firmly closes on the window unit kit.
10. Insert the power cord into a grounded AC 120V/60 Hz receptacle.
11. Press TEST on the GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter). This should cut power to the air
conditioner. Press RESET to turn power back on. DO NOT press TEST while the unit is running.
12. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the air conditioner.
USING THE AIR CONDITIONER
1. Press the MODE button until the "Cool" icon – which looks like a snowflake – appears.
2. Press the TEMP+ or TEMP- button until the desired room temperature appears. (Note: The air
conditioner will cool at temperatures between 62 degrees F and 90 degrees F.)
3. Press the FAN SPEED button to select wind speed. There are three total speeds, indicated by LED
bars on the panel. Zero speed is the lowest wind speed.
4. Press the MODE button until the "Dehumidify Indicator Lamp" icon—which looks like a rain or
water droplet —appears to light up. The temperature will drop 2 degrees F lower than the room
temperature; it is not adjustable.
AUTO MODE
In Auto mode, the air conditioner cools above 80°F and dehumidifies under 80°F. For horticultural
applications, Cooling mode should be used instead.
TURNING OFF/ON THE TIMER
1. Power on the air conditioner to turn off the timer and power off the air conditioner to turn on the
timer. Press the TIMER button.
2. Press the TEMP+ or TEMP- button to set the desired on-time. The preset off time is displayed on
the control panel. Be aware that the timer only works on a single-use basis, and does not repeat a
set program.
