Instructions for use
Place the appliance on a stable surface.
Insert the plug in the socket.
The grinder (placed inside the rotating ring) is activated by pressing and holding the switch and stops when you
release it.
By rotating the ring it is possible to sharpen knives with blades of different sizes, scissors and screwdrivers.
Choose the type of sharpening and the appropriate slot based on the item that has to be sharpened. The ring
rotation automatically adjusts sharpening to the right angle. To select the appropriate sharpening type, place the
symbol • that is near the image, in correspondence of the selector reference, so faced up.
The symbol ↔ is reserved for removing and replacing the rotating ring. Do not select this symbol for sharpening.
Hold firmly with left hand the appliance, press the start and stop switch with left thumb.
Be careful to keep always away fingers from the knife's blade to avoid injuries.
Place the blade of the knife or the scissors, or the screwdriver tip with a slight pressure and approach it slowly to
the grinder for a few seconds. Move the blade from the base to the tip, never the other way (Fig.B).
The sharpening process must not be stopped suddenly and always use constant pressure to avoid the risk to
damage the blades.
Repeat the process until you are satisfied with the sharpening.
For sharpening smooth-bladed knives (Fig.C) insert them in both slots in order to sharp both sides of the blade.
For sharpening serrated knives or with a wide blade, use slanted sharpening (Fig.D).
For sharpening scissors select the slot with the relative image and for flat blade screwdrivers choose the hole
based on the size of the item (Fig.E).
