The SP safety helmet has been designed in accordance with EN 397 and EN
50365:2003 as well as the health and safety requirements of Royal Decree 1407/1992
of Spain.

PROTECTION CLASS AND LIMITS OF USE
The SP safety helmet must be used:
- For protection against impacts from objects such as stones, bricks and other
objects of similar weight, as well as for general masonry and construction work.
- In jobs where there is a risk of electric discharge of voltages up to 1000Vac.
This working temperature must range between –10 ºC and +50 ºC.
Do not drill ventilation holes when carrying out electrical work.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER USE OF THE SAFETY HELMET
Position the safety helmet on the head so that the harness fits around the skull and the
sweat band is on the forehead.
To use effectively, adjust the neck strap so the safety helmet fits snugly.
The height may be adjusted to one of three different positions for use.
The safety helmet may not be modified under any circumstances for attaching
accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
INSPECTION
Before being used, the equipment must be inspected to check that the harness
anchors are well attached and the buffering straps are in good condition.
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
When not in use, place the safety helmet in its original packaging or in a bag for storage
or transport. The safety helmet must be stored in a dry place, away from heat sources
and away from direct sunlight.
DISINFECTING AND CLEANING
Use a cloth moistened with a solution of alcohol diluted in water (25%) to clean the
helmet shell and the harness gear.
SERVICE LIFE
The theoretical service life of the equipment is 5 years from the moment it is put into
use, as long as it has been stored in compliance with storage conditions. The actual
service life of the equipment will depend on the intensity and frequency of use, the work
environment, the skill of user, maintenance, storage, etc. It is preferable for users to
have their own specific equipment assigned to them so its history will be known. In any
case, if the helmet is subject to a strong impact or if it displays any defects or cracks, it
must be immediately replaced.
REPLACEMENT PARTS
The harness of the safety helmet is replaceable. This harness is white. Insert the new
harness at the bottom of the helmet shell in the 6 slots provided. The sweatband is also
replaceable. Both items must be ordered from the manufacturer, indicating that they
are for the helmet SP.

WARNING
The attention of users is also drawn to the danger of modifying or removing any of the
original component parts of the helmet, other than as recommended by the helmet
manufacturer. Helmets should not be adapted for the purpose of fitting attachments in
any way not recommended by the helmet manufacturer. Do not apply paint, solvents,
adhesives or self-adhesives labels, except in accordance with instructions from the
helmet manufacturer.
