DESCRIPTION
This single pump hoist facilitates drum change-over, by lifting the pump
from an empty drum and lowering it into a new drum with minimum
effort. It rotates 360° to access up three drums. Operated by compressed
air, this unit uses an air-powered cylinder connected to the floor.
Different pump mounting options are available to fit Samoa pumps for
most applications. It is typically use with in conjunction with a follower

WARNING AND CAUTIONS

WARNING: This symbol aware of serious bodily injury or death if you ignore the warning described.
!
CAUTION: This symbol aware of personal injury or property damage if you ignore the caution described.
READ BEFORE USE
!
WARNING
• Read all instruction manuals, tags, and labels before operating the
equipment. This equipment is for professional use only.
• Do not alter or modify this equipment. Use genuine components
provided from SAMOA Industrial, S.A.
• The non compatible fluids may cause damage in the pump and
serious personal injury.
• The pump generates high or very high pressures. Do not exceed the
maximum air inlet pressure of 8 bar (116 psi).
• Do not try to use the unit until you have taken all possible precautions to
guarantee that the unit has been installed correctly and that the base has
been firmly secured to the concrete floor.
• Avoid electrical discharges. Ensure there are no electrical cables,
devices or accessories above the hoist. Examine the work area and
take the measures necessary to ensure that enough space is
INSTALLATION
WARNING: If the unit is not installed correctly this can result
!
in serious injury or material damage. Read the warnings.
(See warnings and precautions).
Secure firmly the base to the concrete floor using anchor bolts
(not included in the supply).
Once the definitive location of the unit has been defined, pay special
attention to the work area that will be above the inductor; this work
area shall be free of objects and any electrical devices. Once you have
finished the above step, secure the unit definitively. The lift bose and
plate bose itself can be used as a pattern to establish the correct fixing
locations (fig. 2).
To extend the life of the unit and the pump, use a filter at the control
panel input.
1. If the pump includes the follower plate (754208) (fig. 3). Apply PTFE
tape on inlet pump thread and screw into follower plate.
If the pump includes the follower plate (741709, 741710) (fig. 4). Fix
the pump (4) to follower plate (5) with grub screw (6).
2. Fix the pump on the mounting plate with three hex bolts (7) (fig. 5).
Screw the connector (8) into airmotor inlet and connect the 12 mm
tube (9) (fig. 6). For model with follower plate, connect the 6 mm tube
to non-return valve (1) (fig. 3).
3. If the elevator includes the base plate, screw the drum stops on it
(12) (fig. 8).

maintained for the installation of the hoist and for the pump to be
lifted as much as possible and that they work correctly.
• Maintain a minimum safety distance when raising and lowering the
inductor. Do not get too close; operate it from a safe place, so you
cannot get trapped between the unit and its mobile elements. Take
care when inserting the inductor plate into the drum.
• When not in use, be sure to shut off the air supply to avoid accidents.
• Check that all the operators that work with this unit have been
trained in safe working practices, that they understand their
limitations and use safety equipment when required.
• If follower plate is jammed with the drum. Be careful in the extraction,
the unit could move violently and unexpectedly.
• Any unauthorized tampering with this equipment or removal of
labels may invalidate the guarantee.
